It’s been a few months since the mysterious new part timer Koh started working at Black Ship, and despite her attempts to befriend him, he keeps his distance from her.Do you believe in destiny? - You come back to your hometown after a 10 year absence.
The more she tries to get to know him, the more he pulls apart, and the MC starts to wonder why he’s so set on being by himself all the time. While she pursues friendship with him, she starts to recall memories of a transfer student she watched the stars with from her elementary school days. He doesn’t talk much, and when he does, he’s blunt with his words and only says what’s necessary. While he is unsociable, he’s not unkind he watches out for the MC and helps her when she needs it.ĭespite not letting much known about him, he’s extremely perceptive of his surroundings and the people around him.

Koh is also surprisingly capable at everything he tries his hand at from fixing windows to mixing drinks, he gets the job done and does it well. #Dreamy days in west tokyo ryuzo season 3 review windows# Voltage really played up the “mysterious” aspect of Koh, so throughout the story I was looking forward to getting to learn more about his character. The plot in this route is severely lacking, with almost nothing happening until the last five chapters of the story. For a 16-chapter route, this makes the pacing really slow, and I had to motivate myself to get through the story. Voltage pushed the “loner” image of Koh to the point that he refused to get close to any of the characters, and the entire route was just a pull and push between him and the MC.
Koh reminded me a lot of Kaoru from OTBS however, unlike Kaoru, he doesn’t open up until the end of the route, and talks a lot less and refuses to interact with anyone. In all honesty, I was really looking forward to playing Koh’s route. It’s been a while since I’ve played a route in DDIWT, and since it’s one of my favorite Voltage games (I’m a sucker for childhood friends), I really wanted to like him. However, I don’t think I found out enough of him to decide whether I liked him as a character or not. The three chapters in the epilogue had more development than the entirety of the main story, and this severely disappointed me. There are mysterious characters, and then there’s being lazy with character development, and Koh was definitely the latter. His relationship with the MC and the MC herself barely get any development as well, and their relationship in the end felt like it came out of nowhere. The epilogue showed promise, so I’m hoping Voltage builds on that and makes his sequel better than this mess of a route. I think this is the first time I’ve been so disappointed in a Voltage route I definitely do not recommend this route. * * * currently on indefinite hiatus * * * I would wait for his sequel to come out and see if it justifies playing this route for what little background story it provides.

This is a blog where I post reviews and the occasional walkthrough of otome games that I've played. I do love the concept though it's like a high school version of My Last First Kiss, where everyone is your childhood friend. In this case though, the childhood friendship is centered on the elementary school period, which is shown in frequent flashbacks in the stories (it is super adorable). I like the MC here too, but she's an everyday sort of girl who is a bit tomboyish and stubborn. The great thing about this title is the fact that the story actually goes all the way from high school romance to the wedding, spanning more than 10 years, and the sprites change as well. It's really slice of life and rather grounded, with an emphasis on personal relationships family, friends and lover.
